Chapter Dinner at AMWA 2024
Headed to New Orleans for AMWA 2024? Please join us for the AMWA Carolinas Chapter Dinner on Thursday October 24! This year we are doing a prepaid prix fixe dinner, please sign up and pre-pay by October 10 to join us.
 
The restaurant is Mulate’s (201 Julia Street, New Orleans, LA 70130), conveniently located just 15-minute walk from the conference hotel. AMWA Carolinas members can reserve their spot at the special chapter-subsidized price of $41, while our nonmembers are invited to join for $74. The cost includes soft drinks, a buffet-style meal, and dessert. There will also be a cash bar available for attendees to purchase their own alcoholic drinks.
We will meet in the lobby of the conference hotel (New Orleans Marriott, 555 Canal Street, New Orleans, LA 70130) at 5:30 pm and then walk or carpool to Mulate’s together. The dinner begins at 6:00 pm.

Article Interviews
AMWA Carolinas has a student volunteer interested in writing an article about the different types of medical writing for the chapter website. The article would be based on interviews, and we are looking for chapter members experienced in scientific publications, health communication, continuing education for professionals, or promotional writing. If you are open to being interviewed for the article, please complete the form below to find out more information. The student will follow up with you with more details and you can decide if you would like to participate.

Join our Chapter Conference Committee
Planning for our chapter conference (save the date for May 16, 2025!) starts this fall. Our conference committee is a great opportunity to contribute to the chapter, make professional contacts, and sharpen your skills. The committee meets approximately every other week and offers roles with varying levels of time commitment. Chapter History Project
AMWA Carolinas has launched an initiative to capture, digitize, and share our chapter history. We have a volunteer historian, Maria Cardenas, looking for the history of our Board, important milestones, and conference history.
