AMWA Carolinas is looking forward to seeing some of you soon in New Orleans (hopefully at our chapter dinner). At the same time, our thoughts are with our members who have faced the destruction of their communities this past month from Hurricane Helene.
Hurricane Helene
To our members impacted by Hurricane Helene, please know that our thoughts are with you during this difficult time. The AMWA Carolinas chapter is deeply saddened by the devastation caused by the storm, and we want to express our heartfelt sympathy for anyone facing the aftermath.
While direct assistance is currently being handled by professional responders due to road closures and safety concerns, we encourage anyone who wishes to contribute to consider supporting established relief efforts once it’s safe to do so. Trusted resources include the American Red Cross for donations and VolunteerNC and VolunteerSC for volunteer opportunities.
If you have been personally impacted by Hurricane Helene and have a suggestion on how our chapter might support affected members, please feel free to share them with us. We are here in spirit, and we look forward to brighter days ahead.
