AMWA/NCRAF Event: Consulting and Freelancing Panel
September 18 @ 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm

AMWA Carolinas and the North Carolina Regulatory Affairs Forum (NCRAF) are excited to announce our third annual joint networking and educational event! We’re thrilled to partner with NCRAF again for this unique opportunity.
Join us for a panel discussion on the multifaceted roles of freelancers and consultants in regulatory affairs and medical writing. Our expert panelists will share their insights on a range of topics, including:
- What are the latest industry trends and concerns for seasoned freelancers and consultants?
- How realistic is it to transition directly into a freelance or consulting role?
- What qualities do industry professionals look for when hiring freelancers and consultants?
- Is there a difference between a freelancer and a consultant?
This event is a great opportunity to connect with fellow professionals. We’ll kick off with an hour-long, in-person networking reception with appetizers and drinks. Following the reception, a 90-minute hybrid panel discussion will be moderated AMWA Carolina’s member Laura Sommerville and NCRAF’s Batu Sharma. Our panelists, Dorothy Keine (3Prime Medical Writing, LLC), Erin O’Reilly (O’Reilly Consulting Corp.), Maria Oyaski (Oyaski Regulatory Consulting, LLC), and Tara Hun-Dorris (Lexeo Therapeutics), represent a variety of perspectives, from seasoned consultants to in-house managers who work with them. There will be an open floor for audience questions.
